Severed Press picks up the Kaiju Hunter Series

Sorry I’ve been stringing you guys along for a while, but here’s the big announcement. Severed Press has picked up the Kaiju Hunter Series, and the first book, Raiju, is back up on Amazon after a very short hiatus with a new cover and new edit. The paperback edition, which has been out of print for some time and is commanding some pretty high prices on Amazon, will also be returning shortly. Stay tuned.

If you love old school Godzilla and Gamera movies, you’re sure to dig this.

(I suppose this probably means I should gear up to finish Talos soon!)

Raiju RAIJU: A KAIJU HUNTER NOVEL

His home destroyed by a rampaging kaiju, Kevin Takahashi and his father relocate to New York City where Kevin hopes the nightmare is over, but soon after his arrival in the Big Apple, a new kaiju emerges. Qilin is so powerful that even the U.S. Military may be unable to contain or destroy the monster. But Kevin is more than a ragged refugee from the now defunct city of San Francisco. He’s also a Keeper who can summon ancient, demonic god-beasts to do battle for him, and his creature to call is Raiju, the oldest of the ancient Kami. Kevin has only a short time to save the city of New York. Because Raiju and Qilin are about to clash, and after the dust settles, there may be no home left for any of them!

“Young adult, teen fiction, I don’t really care what you call it, this is one hell of a monster book.” ~Famous Monsters of Filmland

“I loved this story. It is the quintessential kaiju story and anyone who loves Japanese kaiju stories will like this book, regardless of their age.” ~MonsterLibrarian.com

“Ms. Koehler has a hit with this book. Rousing action, teen angst, and just enough Japanese myth to whet our appetites. In short, this book rocks!” ~Jim Cobb, SurvivalWeekly.com & Author of The Prepper’s Series
